As we head into the second half of the year, I thought it would be useful to share some of the exciting developments that have been happening across the business.
First of all, I would like to welcome Toni Meadows, who joined us in June as our Head of Investments and has also joined our management board. Toni brings with him over 30 years of investment experience, including CIO roles at Omnis Investments, The Private Office and Close Brothers Asset Management. Toni brings a wealth of insight and leadership, and he’s already become a valued part of the BRI team.
We have also seen a number of our team pass important professional exams over the past few months and years. A total of over 30 exam passes in 2 years is a record for BRI. That continued commitment to development is something we take seriously and it’s great to see so many of my colleagues progressing through the ranks and gaining confidence. Their success reflects the hard work they’ve put in, and the strength of the support they’ve had around them.
It’s also been encouraging to see recognition from outside the business. Andy Gillett was recently named Finance Leader of the Year, I was pleased to be included again in the PAM NextGen Leaders list, and Barney Sears was highly commended at the Professional Adviser Awards. More importantly, we were recognised for the third time as one of the best financial advice firms to work for in the UK – an award we value because it reflects our culture and how the team feel about being part of BRI.
We’ve recently conducted our client survey and have been really pleased with the feedback we’ve received. Thank you to those of you who spent the time completing this.
We are grateful for your continued trust and support. If you’d like to discuss anything mentioned here or just want a catch-up, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
