BRI Appoint Simon Smith as Non-Executive Director

Meriden based BRI Wealth Management is pleased to announce that Simon Smith is joining its Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Simon has established a successful career in the financial world over the last 30 years. Simon is a former Director of Albert E Sharp in Birmingham where he was an award winning fund manager building up the highly regarded AES Smaller Companies Unit Trust from launch to £330m at peak and heading their Unit Trust Division.

In 2001 Simon moved into private equity where he was CEO of Springboard plc a listed private equity business which he took private in 2006 backed by Caledonia Investments plc and Nova Capital, a private equity business, where he subsequently became a Director and Investment Partner. He also founded his own investment business Pathbrae Ventures to work with experienced management in acquiring businesses in the manufacturing, consumer products and support services industries. He has been a Non-Executive Director of a number of public and private companies across a wide range of sectors.
